Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar party, released a campaign video on Saturday that challenges Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal for alternative financial mechanisms. Eisenkot argues that the prime minister’s shift toward digital finance signals an admission of economic failure and places national savings at risk. The former IDF chief used the platform to warn that the current trajectory threatens the stability of the Israeli economy.

The video begins with the statement that all money is at risk. It features clips from an earlier Channel 10 interview where Netanyahu stated that Israel must prepare for an alternative economy due to international sanctions. In that interview, the prime minister confirmed that digital finance would certainly form part of the new framework. He further noted that he had already requested a plan for this transition.

Eisenkot’s team labeled the proposed system Bibicoin in the video. The campaign materials assert that such a mechanism would destroy Israel. The video claims the alternative system would create an economy similar to those of North Korea and Iran. It lists the end of high-tech, healthcare, and security as potential consequences of this financial shift.

The campaign also raised questions regarding global investment. It asked how the international high-tech industry could invest in Israeli companies if digital currency were the only available method. The video urged viewers not to let the prime minister burn through national savings. This argument centers on the vulnerability of foreign capital in a restricted digital environment.

In a separate post on X, Eisenkot addressed the issue directly. He wrote that Netanyahu admits his policy will lead to international isolation and economic sanctions. Eisenkot stated that these sanctions will shake the economy and the market. He concluded his post by calling the outcome the collapse of national security.

The debate highlights Netanyahu’s economic contingency thinking. Eisenkot uses the prime minister’s own words from the Channel 10 interview as the basis for his criticism. The exchange places the digital finance proposal at the center of the political discourse. The Yashar party continues to push its message through social media channels to reach a wider audience.
